AdvaTel releases Greeting Scripts for PhoneEasy IP Console

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE July 2006

AdvaTel has announced the release of Greeting Scripts, the latest enhancement to its popular PhoneEasy IP Console.

Greeting Scripts prompts telephone attendants with a customised greeting for each call they answer, regardless of how many departments or organisations they represent. Two years ago, AdvaTel launched PhoneEasy, its powerful desktop application that integrates business phone, email and PC-based SMS in one solution.

“The Greeting Scripts optional module is ideal for serviced offices, government organisations, or companies with multiple departments,” said Michael Terry, Managing Director of AdvaTel. “Greeting Scripts also makes sure your relief staff provide the same high levels of service as your full-time staff, so you don’t have to worry about the standard of service slipping when your more experienced operators are out of the office or on leave.”

With Greeting Scripts a separate greeting of up 255 characters is logged against each phone-line recorded in the PhoneEasy IP Console database. This enables the telephone attendant to automatically respond with the appropriate greeting for each caller. The caller is provided with precise information as to the person he or she wants to speak with – eg “Thank you for calling John Williams of Scott Transport. John is on leave until Monday the 12th of June, Can I take a message or transfer you to his colleague, Mark Coates?

AdvaTel has also ensured the operator will always know which greeting is for which call. If there is only one call ringing the greeting will be displayed before the call is answered. If there are multiple calls waiting, the greeting will not be displayed until the call is answered.

Greeting Scripts eliminates the need for receptionists to remember which greeting they should use for each phone-line they answer, thereby removing the margin for error. In addition, AdvaTel has ensured that script changes are quick and easy to make. The user just enters a new greeting into the system and sends the update to the system administrator for approval.
