AdvaTel releases PhoneEasy Intelligent QuickDial (IQ)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE July 2006

FREE with the latest version of PhoneEasy

What if you could just ‘click’ a phone number on a Web page and have it dial automatically for you? What about a number in an email or an Office document? How convenient would it be if all the calls you made were automatically recorded in your contacts database for easy retrieval?

AdvaTel has released PhoneEasy Intelligent QuickDial (IQ) for its PhoneEasy Desktop and PhoneEasy IP Console offerings. PhoneEasy IQ enables PhoneEasy users to dial a phone number from a Web page, email or Office document with just a ‘click’ of the mouse.

“PhoneEasy IQ recognises all Australian Standard phone numbers in Office Documents, Web-pages and Emails,” says Michael Terry, Managing Director of AdvaTel. “PhoneEasy IQ has extended the ‘one-click dialing’ philosophy of PhoneEasy Desktop and PhoneEasy IP Console to incorporate other applications used in day to day business, saving users valuable time. And best of all it comes free with the latest version of PhoneEasy.”

PhoneEasy IQ displays all the phone numbers found on a Web page in a list on the screen. When the user selects the ‘Dial’ button, or double-clicks a number on the list, PhoneEasy automatically dials the number. The QuickDial Toolbar (which appears on loading the software) converts all phone numbers found on a Web page into clickable ‘Tel’ links; the user just ‘clicks’ on the number and it is dialled automatically.

The Microsoft Outlook Plug-in provides users with quick dialling from their contacts folder in Microsoft Outlook. They select a Contact and use the available icons which represent the various stored phone numbers (mobile, business, home phone) to dial any of the contact’s numbers. PhoneEasy IQ also converts phone numbers on incoming Plain Text and HTML emails to clickable links, ready to dial.

Microsoft Office Smart Tags places small dots under any phone number found in an Office document. When the cursor is placed over the dots an i icon appears. When the icon is selected the action menu lets the user dial the number with PhoneEasy, or convert the phone number to a ‘Tel’ link so others can click and dial.

Multiple numbers can also be copied from a document or web page, and with a single mouse click they can be added to the PhoneEasy Call Stack for quick dialing. “This is perfect for telemarketing campaigns,” says Terry.

All numbers dialed using PhoneEasy IQ are captured in the PhoneEasy Activity Log. The user simply right-clicks on the relevant entry in the Activity Log and the number is added to their PhoneEasy contacts database for future reference.

PhoneEasy IQ is just one of the time-saving features of PhoneEasy Desktop and PhoneEasy IP Console. Contact AdvaTel for more information.
